Cumberland Valley Rail Trail: Outdoor enthusiasts can hike, bike, walk, or horseback ride on the 11-mile trail that follows the abandoned Cumberland Valley railroad corridor from Shippensburg to Newville. Interpretative way-point signs on the agricultural and Civil War heritage are located along the trail. 

Downtown Shippensburg: The town of Shippensburg features independently owned businesses that offer unique shopping and dining experiences.

Shippensburg Historical Society: A partner of the Cumberland Valley Railroad Museum and founded in 1945, the Shippensburg Historical Society is a private, non-profit membership organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich history of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area. Shippensburg University: Founded in 1871, Shippensburg University has provided educational and cultural opportunities to its students and the community for nearly 150 years. It houses facilities and hosts events that are open to the public including the Fashion Archives, an educational laboratory and museum that enhances our understanding of society through the study of dress and the H.
